Montana's Senate has given preliminary approval to adopt the "Code of the West" as Montana's code, according to FoxNews.com.
I know you are probably staying we'll of course Montana would do that, that is cowboy country. However, it is a code that we all should live by whether you have spent time in the saddle or not.
Although, the "Cody of West" was an unwritten code, Jim Owen's put the code on paper and then used them as the core for his book, "Cowboy Ethics: What Wall Street Can Learn from the Code of the West." 1. Live each day with courage
2. Take pride in your work
3. Always finish what you start
4. Do what has to be done
5. Be tough, but fair
6. When you make a promise, keep it
7. Ride for the brand
8. Talk less and say more
9. Remember that some things aren't for sale
10. Know where to draw the line.
How many of these do you break each day, or maybe family members, friends or coworkers. I say the "Code of the West" is something to live by. It would make the world a better place.
