Pinterest Turquoise

Wonderful new website

So I finally started using Pinterest. What is this foreign thing I talk about? Well according to Pinterest.com...

Think of Pinterest as a virtual pinboard — a place where you can create collections of things you love and "follow" collections created by people with great taste.
People use Pinterest to collect and share all sorts of things -- wedding inspiration, favorite T-shirts, DJ equipment. You name it, people are pinning it.
You really have to try it out to see the full effect, but basically you pin things (from their website or stuff you find on the web) to boards. It is a great way to gather thoughts and ideas.

Of course I had to make a Turquoise Board (I also have a Turquoise Rooms board too)!

This is just part of my board. Check out my entire Turquoise Pinterest Board
Once you are at my board you can click on individual items and learn where they came from.

My Dream Home Board is quickly being filled with lots of goodies. Can you tell that I like barn wood and barn doors just a little.

And my Recipe Board is slowing growing, but I can't wait to try some of these out. Fried mashed potatoes sound awesome.

Do you use Pinintest? If so let me know so I can follow you. Any suggestions on what I should add to my boards?

We need to have food choices

Your choice can affect my choices.

I came across this website awhile ago and wanted to share it with you. It is called choose2choose.com

Although, I have always been a strong advocate of having choices in the type and kinds of food that we are able to purchase (organic, natural, conventional raised) their was a quote on this website that really hit home with me.

"I didn't realize I could be taking someone else's food choices away by advocating for on method of farming over another."

Today one farmer can feed 155 people, as compared to 129 in 1960. The reason why we can do this is we are more efficient and we have access to improved technology. Now that doesn't mean that I don't think you should be able to go to a local farmers market to purchase your fruits and vegetables. It just means that I know we can't feed everyone in this country, and all the countries we export food to with that method.

I encourage you to check out the site. There is great information on commonly asked questions like high fructose corn syrup, cage-free eggs, bst, among other topics.
